Creosote, also known as soot, is a natural byproduct of burning wood. As the smoke goes up your fireplace chimney, creosote clings to the inner walls of your chimney. Creosote is highly flammable and causes chimney fires. Removal of creosote (a cfireplace chimney sweep) is imperative for continuous safe use Standard and mechanical fireplace chimney sweeps address your flue liner, cmoke chamber, smoke shelf, damper, and firebox. Flue Flusher Chimney provides "no-mess" fireplace chimney services.

Wood Stove Cleaning

Wood burning stove standard sweep includes a visual inspection and the sweeping of the pipes leading from the stove thru the roof.

Mechanical Cleaning

It is only after the flaky creosote is removed (during the standard fireplace cleaning) that glazing can be detected. Flazing develops when flaky creosote becomes baked on. Flazing requires the use of specialized equipment for it's removal. Creosote is flammable and the risk of a chimney fire is present. If this creosote is ignited, the intensity of the heat can crack the tile liner and flames pose a fire hazard to the home.

Blockage Removal

Blockage removal from the fireplace flue is mot often associated with the lack of a protection chimney cover on the top of the chimney. Flue Flusher Chimney Services recommends the installation of a protective chimney covers on all flue openings to prevent entry of animals (raccoons, squirrels, birds) twigs, leaves and nesting materials.

Furnace Chimney Sweeps

Most emergency services calls that happen during the winter months are due to oil or gas companies shutting down your lines to prevent and accident. The reason is because many homeowners do not know that the venting system of thier furnace needs maintenance. Unfortunately, many homeowners are forced to deal with much higher service costs after the damage is already done.

Three reasons why and Annual Checkup is right for you;

Lower Heating and Cooling Costs

Maximum Indoor Air Quality

Eliminating Threat of Carbon Monoxide

For a furnace flue cleaning, the technician will begin on the roof brushing and debris to the bottom of the flue. He will then go to the furnace, disconnect the pipe from the furnace to the flue, and vacuum 2-3 feet below the connecting pipe. When this process is complete the technician will properly reseal the pipe to the flue. If for some reason the roof cannot be accessed to do he cleaning, the technicians do the full cleaning form inside of the home.

Flue Flusher Chimney uses a six-step process to inspect and clean a chimney system. We also have the capability for inside the flue photos.

Here are the steps in order:

  • Initial inspection
  • Interior inspection and setup
  • Exterior inspection and cleaning
  • Interior Cleaning and inspection
  • Final Inspections
  • Customer Report and Review

Dryer Vent Sweeps

Lint and debris can build up in the clothes dryer vent blocking air flow and creating potentially hazardous conditions including the possibility for an exhaust fire or carbon monoxide intrusion (Gas clothes dryers). The U.S Fire Administration, National Fire data Center reports that "there are over 12,700 home fires per year associated with clothes dryer fires resulting in 15 deaths ad 300 injuries, and 88 million dollars in property loss.

Not having your dryer vent clean can restrict air flow and causes your dryer to run hotter and longer, substantially impacting energy efficiency. Excess heat created by poor airflow can ruin your clothes, add dollars to your home's energy bill and increases the wear and tear in your appliance.

Flue Flusher Chimney Services will take care of all your Dryer exhaust needs.
